Great product
Very easy to use for both edging and trimming. Nice to have both batteries so you can rotate as you are working. Nice to not have a cord to deal with and also extremely quiet. Have already recommended it to others.

it's a piece of crap
Avoid this at all costs.

This is the second B&D trimmer I've bought. I could never get the first one, a less expensive model, to extend the line more than about 3 inches, and finally pitched it.

This one is a mess to assemble. I spent 30-45 minutes trying to get the line guard on, but the three holes for the screws couldn't all be lined up at once. Finally, sweating like a pig, I got it sort of on, but still wobbly. Intermediate tries had had the guard tilted so it would interfere with the line.

So I moved to installing the auxiliary handle, how hard could that be? Well, hard. It takes a lot of strength to force the auxiliary handle over the main handle, and then the screw hung up before it made contact with the hole on the other side. I couldn't see where that was hanging it up, so driven to madness at this point I took a hammer and whacked it through. Unfortunately, the cap disengaged from the screw part, so now there's no way to get it through at all.

Another B&D product not worth a dime. Never again.

Does a really good job
I bought this trimmer last fall when we bought our first house. I love not having to worry about a cord and no gas smell. The two batteries are fantastic, we can usually trim and edge the whole lawn one and a half times before having to switch the battery. I love being able to turn the head to edge - our lawn is always well edged compared to our neighbors. My only problem is that after getting about halfway around the house, it's a little bit heavy, and having to hold both buttons at the same time makes it a little uncomfortable. However, I would highly recommend anyone buying this tool. It really does a good job.

Built for my grandmother
This holds a charge for about 10 to 15 minutes after charging for 4 hours. That doesn't allow for much work. I bought it last year and one battery has already stopped working. It takes me several days to complete the weed cleanup that I need to do. Next time I will invest in more extension cords.

Best thing since sliced bread
I love this weed eater. After years of using a gas weed eater and being beat to death with it I ordered this. It only works for about twenty to thirty minutes on one charge but an extra battery is included. It is light and very effective. The best thing about it is that you do not have to bump the spool to advance the plastic string. No more frustration with taking apart the spool to fix the string. It is very light and perfect for a woman to handle. No more numb hands from the vibration of the gas weedeater.
