Whether you want to improve your posture, reduce back pain, or simply minimize your daily stress load, the Teeter Hang Ups EP-950 inversion therapy table makes a terrific choice. Inversion therapy works by placing your body in line with the downward force of gravity. In the process, inversion elongates the spine, increases the space between the vertebrae, and relieves the pressure on discs, ligaments, and nerve roots. And less pressure means less back pain, as well as fewer headaches and neck problems. Inversion is ideal for people with persistent spine and muscle aches, in addition to athletes who frequently push their bodies out of whack through repetitive muscle motions, such as runners, weightlifters, skiers, cyclists, and golfers. Studies suggest that inverting yourself a mere 25 degrees for even a few minutes per day can have tremendous positive effects. Never before has an inversion table worked with your body the way an EP series inversion table does. The EP-950--Teeter's top-of-the-line EP inversion table--uses Teeter's patented Flex Technology design to move as you move. By working with your body instead of against it, the table accommodates a greater range of motion than other tables, promoting realignment of the spine and relaxing your muscles. The EP-950 then adds an optimal surface for decompression, with a smooth, light-friction texture that allows the body to slide and achieve a premium stretch. Plus, engineering tests have shown that Teeter inversion tables are the most precisely balanced tables on the market. This allows users to control the lockout more confidently in full inversion.
In addition to its EP-standard features, the EP-950 offers a number of upgrades over other Teeter EP tables. The table's ratchet ankle lock system, for instance, offers an easy-to-reach solution in addition to a triple-lock security feature. The table also includes EZ Stretch handles to help increase traction and enhance your stretching experience. To make your inversion more efficient, the table's EZ Angle tether strap lets you preset your rotation angles at 20, 40, or 60 degrees. This provides an easy guide to where the benefits of inversion begin and are fully realized. Finally, the table includes a new Ankle Comfort Dial that adjusts for smaller or larger feet, allowing you to find a comfortable and secure fit for your ankle clamps.

-Solid construction, great machine. Very sturdy.
-The ankle locks have a ratcheting system that is very secure and comfortable. Easy to reach if you have trouble bending over.
-after suffering for 2 weeks with lower back pain after I threw my back out, I felt great relief even the first day after only about 1-2 mins on the machine and at only 20 degrees inversion. Very amazing!
Cons:
-Not sure who's fault it is but I ordered it 2 day shipping with Amazon prime and it arrived late (took about a week)
-The box it came in didn't have handles so the box was pretty beat up when it did arrive
-the instructions that explain how to take the thing out of the box were not very clear and we had a heck of a time separating the table part from the A frame. It was like solving a puzzle.
-the instructions that explain how to put it together were also not very good. The diagrams are too small and it's hard to see which screw goes in what hole. But there are not too many parts and some come already assembled, so it was not too bad to figure out.
-and lastly, there are 2 DVDs that come with the 950, one shows how to assemble and use the thing, the other is a bonus DVD with excercise routines for your back. This bonus DVD would not play in any of my DVD players because it is the wrong format (PAL instead of NTSC) even though the label on the DVD says "NTSC". I'm able to play it on my computer but can't play it on my living room player. I wonder if other shipments contained the wrong DVD as well?? I am planning on contacting the manf. Hopefully they will replace the DVD. Will have to write an update on this later.

Like others, I labored a long time before settling on one inversion table, and I am confident I have the best of the best. When I'm inverted & using this, I'm glad I took the time to get the Teeter brand - I feel confident it's safe and sturdy.
You folks considering a knock-off unit -- envision yourself inverted, with nothing between your head and the floor -- do you really want to risk it? You really want to risk breaking your neck from equipment failure so u can save $160 or something like this? :-)
One tip I'd like to share is that this unit is very comfortable on your feet/ankles, but! If you set it too tight, you may have some pain. IMO, i think a lot of folks feel like, "well for safety I want this snug to my ankles, so..." then they set too tight and then they have pain. In fact, I'm not talking about making it clamp *tight* to your legs, I mean, just even a little snug might be the cause of your pain, once inverted. All you need is so that your foot won't slip out --- that's it!First Degree Fitness , Exerpeutic 1000Xl, BH Fitness Elliptical, PROFORM 500I, LifeSpan TR1200-DT, Ironman 1850, Image 10.0, Octane Fitness Q35c, 660BRL Embedded, Stamina 9200 CPS, True Fitness M50, First Degree Fitness E-520, Healthtrainer Pro, Revolution Crazy Fit, Sunny Crazy Fit, Star Trac Spinner Pro, Gazelle Edge, Sunny SF-RB801, Multisports Endurocycle, Bowflex TreadClimber, Proform ZT3, BowFlex Treadclimber, Golds Gym MAXX, Proform 6.0 ZE, Marcy Recumbent Bike, Weslo Pursuit S, FreeMotion TT30, Stamina 7100, ProForm Crosswalk 590, Cybex Arc Trainer 600a, Kettler Coach M, Body Solid Weight-Assist, Diamondback Fitness , Proform 620 V, Body Max Power Deluxe, FreeMotion 790, Proform 1100 E, StairMaster SM916, Precor C556, Precor EFX 5.21, Kettler Montana Stepper, LifeSpan Fitness TR200, Schwinn IC Evolution, Precor EFX 5.37, Horizon Fitness M4, POWER FIT WHOLE BODY, Stamina Elite Total ,
*** Definitely try the different 'milder' tilt settings before you go for full inversion. Get to know how the table works and what proper fit is for *your* ankles/feet before you leap to inversion. ***
Speaking of that, the strap feature for setting the level of tilt/inversion is excellent. By having an adjustable strap, this permits infinite variations of tilt. (Don't think all inversion tables operate like this -- some have very limited tilt selections) Also, you may completely (and very easily) disconnect the strap for full vertical inversion. The table swings out of your way during full inversion, so you can do some inverted crunches and swing around and such if that's what you'd like.
Another tip: as you approach that full inversion, the table swings away from your body kind of quickly on the last 5-8 degrees or so, and this is somewhat startling (but harmless) on the 1st go round. Just remember I told u so. (Even common things are scarier when hanging upside down, lol!)
