Rowing provides an efficient, effective, low-impact workout that utilizes all the major muscle groups, including the back, legs, arms, abdominals and buttocks. It is also one of the best exercises for building a strong back, as well as one of the most effective low-impact aerobic exercises for increasing your metabolism. As a result, you can efficiently burn calories and fat without impacting your joints. In addition, the rower includes a multifunction fitness monitor that tracks your workout time, stroke count, and calories burned during your workout, along with the total strokes you've accumulated since owing the machine. The monitor displays each data point for six seconds before rotating to the next.
Other features include gas shock resistance, a manual resistance control knob, a comfortable molded and padded seat, and a capacity of 250 pounds. The Body Trac Glider--which folds up for easy storage in a closet or corner--carries a one-year warranty on the frame and a 90-day warranty on parts.Brand New 1500W, Bowflex Series 7 , Bowflex TC3000 , Kettler Axos Cross P , Stamina CPSIndoor, StreetStrider Eclipse, Life Fitness Remanufactured , Smooth Fitness CE-7.4 , Star Trac NXT, WaterRower A1, Proform 610 RT, Sebring Transformer Treadmill, 3530012 Schwinn, Bladez Indoor Cycling Bike , Health Mark VF81003 , First Degree Fitness Neptune, Fitness Master X Series, StairMaster Zephyr , Lifecore LC-985VG , ProRower H2O, FreeMotion 770, Precor UBK 835, BodyCraft SPX, Bladez Fitness Master, WaterRower Classic Rowing , Life Fitness Club Series, Lifecore Fitness LC850RBS , ProForm Crosswalk 590, LifeSpan S1, LifeSpan Fitness TR 2000-HRC, ProForm 710 E, PROFORM PERSPECTIVE ES, LifeSpan Fitness EL3000i, Minotaur Fitness X-treme, PROFORM CROSSWALK , Precor c956i , Sole S77 , Proform Power 1080, Fitnex X5 Kids, Spirit Esprit ET-388, Life Fitness 95Ti , Endurance T10HRC, Pacemaster Bronze Basic , Kettler Edition Power , Octane Fitness xR3c , LifeSpan Fitness TR 3000-HRC, Pro Indoor Cycling
Product DescriptionI have only been using this for about a week, but so far so good. I have multiple problems with my feet, including big toe arthritis, that made me unable to exercise on a treadmill any longer. The doctor suggested swimming, but I don't have a pool and am unable to make a daily routine of that. Someone suggested I try this, and it's a great solution for me. No stress at all on the feet, but I still feel the workout in my legs, plus it's a really good workout for the arms and abs.
It's nice and quiet, and I'm able to use it in the room directly over a bedroom without disturbing the sleeper.I do have to leave the velcro straps a little slack so I can angle my feet slightly outward because it was bothering my knees to keep them straight (not sure if that's just my anatomy, though) which causes my feet to sometimes slip down off the footrest.

One of the handles was broken, but it was only the decorative part, so it doesn't affect operation.
I agree with other reviewers about the seat not being all that comfortable.
So, all in all, it's not perfect, but it's a good solution for me.
I've had the rower for a couple months and have rolled the stroke counter over 5 times (it goes to 9999). Other than having to tighten up a few bolts, the machine has not had a single hitch during that use.
On the plus side:
The rower is (mostly) well made with strong steel and good solid welds where it counts. It does not shake or rattle when in use.
The onboard computer is pretty good even if barebones...it pauses itself if you stop to answer the phone and it seems very accurate in counting the strokes.

The stroke is smooth once the piston is warmed up and the levels of resistance are easily adjustable. The levels of resistance are also sufficient to give nearly anyone, of any strength level, a solid workout.
The arms of the rower articulate so you are not limited to just pulling straight back, if you want to pull in towards your chest or out towards your finger tips to hit difference chest and arm muscle groups, you can.
It stands up against the wall and takes up very little room when not in use (key for an apartment dweller like myself.
It was easy to assemble but remember that the wire for the computer is rubber-banded to the neck for a reason...as I discovered, that reason is to keep the wire from falling into the hollow neck while you go through other assembly steps. I got it out of there but I could have done the assembly about 5 times faster if I had paid attention.

On the negative side:
A lot of the trim pieces, (caps, covers etc that do not affect function), are cheap plastic...I'm guessing that when I get to 500,000 strokes, or 5 million that the rower will work just fine but a lot of the plastic trim will have cracked or gone someplace to die.
Like all piston rowing machines, until it warms up the resistance is inconsistent. After 2-3 minutes its smooth for the remaining 57 minutes of my session. Smoother than an Avita machine I had but not as smooth as an air or water wheel rower.
The calorie counter on the computer is stupendously and wildly inaccurate...after an hour at 18 strokes per minute, on resistance 8 of 12, it reads 120 calories expended. At least its consistently inaccurate...
The computer also lacks a countdown timer which would have been nice.
I've had the rower for a couple months and have rolled the stroke counter over 5 times (it goes to 9999). Other than having to tighten up a few bolts, the machine has not had a single hitch during that use.
