Construction-wise, the TF1000 includes a reinforced frame that's been tested for a user weight up to 400 pounds, along with wide side rails that acts as a foot platform if necessary. It's also easy to track your workout progress via the LCD display, which monitors your elapsed time, distance walked, calories burned, speed, and pulse. And you easily move the treadmill just about anywhere, as the TF000 includes a folding frame and bottom wheels. The TF1000 carries a five-year warranty on the motor and frame and a 90-day warranty on parts and labor.
Product DescriptionEveryone has different reasons for purchasing a treadmill which is reflected in their review. I am writing this review based on my very specific intent of using this as a walking treadmill desk. This is the second treadmill I have purchased for this specific reason. My first treadmill was a much higher-end treadmill with all the bells and whistles you could think of and I used it for nearly 3 years. The problem with the higher end treadmill was that it was VERY LOUD to begin with and VERY BIG (even though it was foldable it was too heavy to move. I finally got rid of it because the noise was just too unbearable. In comes the Exerpeutic TF1000 Walking Treadmill. I was a bit nervous to get what I perceived as a "lower end" treadmill, but after a lot of looking around and reading hundreds of reviews, I decided to give this one a try.

I AM SO GLAD I DID!!
I've had this about a week now. So far, so good. There were a few bumps along the way, which kept me from giving it 5 stars (explained below), but I managed to get them worked out. I am walking on my treadmill right now at 3.0 mph/6% incline.
PROS:
**EXTREMELY QUIET!!! The lower the speed the quieter it is. My normal walking speed is 3 mph. I can listen to music at a normal volume, I can hear my doorbell ring, and I can listen to a conference call. If I lower the speed to 2 mph, I can have a normal phone conversation without the other person hearing a weird humming sound in the background.LifeSpan TR1200i , CoreBody Reformer, Bayou Fitness E-Series , Precor EFX 546i , Crosscore War Machine, Life Fitness 95Ci , Smooth Fitness CE-3.6, Kettler UNIX-P , Horizon Fitness EX-79, Schwinn 450, Teeter Hang Ups EP 960, Kettler Coach M, WaterRower Oxbridge Rowing , DKN Technology Xg3 , Body Solid Powerline BSG10X , Phoenix 98900 , Sole Fitness F63, AFG 7.1 AT , Body Solid Multi-Press, LifeSpan TR 1200i , ProForm Pro 4500 , XMark Fitness Power, Valor Athletics 48 Olympic, Stamina 4545, Smooth Fitness SMT-935I , XMark Fitness Hammerstone, Total Trainer Pilates Reformer, Crescendo Fitness Magnetic, 255 Pound Olympic , Sunny SF-B1003 , FreeMotion F 5.6 , Multisports Fitness 200, BodyCraft VR100, Proteus PAR-5500, Precor 240i , TKO Flat Bench, Health Mark Pro, Lifecore Fitness Space , USA 300lb Olympic , Total Gym Cyclo Trainer, USA Sports Hex Style, LifeSpan Fitness Pro5 , Proforce Stretchmaster II, Proform 1200 E, SportsArt Fitness Upright, Precor Premium Series 9.31 , Stamina Suzanne Somers , Proform 490 SPX, First Place Competition, Powerline BSG10X , Bowflex PR1000, Health Mark VF81003, Horizon Fitness EX-59, Exerpeutic 2000 WorkFit, Inversion Chair, Health Mark IVO18660, True Fitness M50 , StreetStrider Eclipse, Proform 215 CSX
**INCLINE. The problem with many "walking treadmills", including some of the very expensive treadmill desks, is the inability to incline. While it may not be important for everyone, it is to me - it's what ultimately led me to purchase this particular model. This is one of the only treadmills in the "walking treadmill" category I could find with an incline option. Although it is a manual incline function, an incline is still an incline! There are 2 pre-set inclines using the Incline Adjuster in the back of the frame. The 2 options are either a) 3% incline degree or b) 6% incline degree, which is the one I use.
**HANDRAILS PERFECT FOR A DESK!! The handrails is the perfect size for a desk. There is still plenty of clearance for my legs to move at full stride. I am 5' 4", so the height of where the desk sits on the handrail is right at the cusp of being ergonomically comfortable for me. For someone too much shorter, it could be ergonomically uncomfortable for the wrist and shoulders with long term use. The size of my desk is 18.5" height x 34.5" wide. 3/4" thick plywood. I am using the same desk I used on my original much larger treadmill. The desk sits right where the handrail controls buttons are located. Because this console is much smaller than my old treadmill, I still have about another 4-5" opening between the top of my desk and the console. I'm using this opening for baskets which allows me to put things I might otherwise put in a desk drawer.
