Contraindications: As with any exercise equipment, you should always consult your doctor or medical advisor before commencing any inversion therapy. As a Osteopath practicing for over 40 years I had advised many patients to buy one of these tables. Little did I realize that the time would come in my retirement for me to need one for myself! Firstly delivery was magic, it arrived well within the specified time.....and to a different country. The quality of construction and finish are superb. Assembly was very easy as long as you "RTFI"!!! As to being effective....well as long as your back condition is amenable to traction as you can apply with the table, intermittent, rocking or continuous then this machine is perfect. There are also other good points, by intelligent use you can tone up and strengthen your abdominal muscles. Also by using a soft small child's beach football and lying back over it one can help to improve lumbar spine extension. Care is needed here and professional advice should be sought if in any doubt.
